Research is our best hope for understanding and treating mental illnesses
People engage in a clinical research studies for various reasons including access to new cutting edge medications and helping researchers understand application of how new medication works on a specific disease or condition. Information gathered from this study will benefit the researchers, and hopefully and potentially those who suffer from depression in the future.
There may also be risks to participating in research studies, such as side effects. There is no guarantee that study participants will benefit from being in a study. Only you can decide if participating in a research study is right for you. Participation is voluntary and participants can stop their participation at any time, for any reason.
